Training on UF campus

  • UF Research Computing offers training for navigating the UNIX environment, utilizing the Galaxy bioinformatics platform, etc (recorded training videos can be found at https://training.it.ufl.edu/training/ and checking the “research computing” box under areas); the schedule for training sessions can be found at https://help.rc.ufl.edu/doc/Training).  For more information on UF Research Computing training or bioinformatics and computational biology resources contact Matt Gitzendanner (magitz@ufl.edu) or Alex Moskalenko (om@rc.ufl.edu).
  • UF Health Science Center Library offers training for basic bioinformatics.  The scope include accessing gene sequences, performing sequence similarity searches, accessing gene expression data, etc.  Training is held every semester.  Please check back momentarily for summer 2018 workshops.
